How to choose a domain name people actually remember

A domain is a first impression

You will say your domain name out loud hundreds of times: on the phone, on packaging, in ads. If people cannot spell it after hearing it once, you lose customers.

The three rules

  • Keep it short. One or two words beat long phrases every time.
  • Make it sayable. Test it: say it to a friend and ask them to type it. If they hesitate, pick something else.
  • Get the .com if you can. It is still what people type by default.

  • Premium names are worth it

A short, brandable name can cost more upfront and pay for itself in trust and word of mouth for years. We keep a small curated list of premium names — ask us what is available in your niche.

    Business email

you@yourbrand.com costs a few dollars a month and instantly makes you look established next to a Gmail address. We set it up for you.
